Most of us look forward to venturing out slowly and cautiously. We look forward to so many things we did with ease in the past. Sometime last year, I am not sure exactly when, I started a "Post COVID Bucket List".
Welcome to Simply Organized Life! I am so glad you are here. Make your self a cup of tea and stay awhile.
All My Best, Carolyn
All in family
Most of us look forward to venturing out slowly and cautiously. We look forward to so many things we did with ease in the past. Sometime last year, I am not sure exactly when, I started a "Post COVID Bucket List".
I thought I would share my current cleaning routine as a follow up to last month's post on gratitude and habit tracking. Hopefully, this will inspire you to create your own cleaning routine, or perhaps you have a few tips to help me stay more consistent with mine.
I hope you are all well: physically, emotionally and spiritually. The past few months have challenged all of us in new and unexpected ways. Along with the challenges, our "new normal" has brought beautiful and unforeseen things to the surface.
The temperatures are getting cooler here in Michigan. The garden is slowing down. The days are getting shorter. Autumn is in the air. Transitions are upon us.
In response to my last post, many of you shared what is bringing you joy during these uncertain times. Some of you are taking regular walks: alone, with spouses and with family. Others are practicing yoga and meditation. And one of you mentioned keeping an organized financial life, along with a clean and organized home. These are all such lovely activities.
Here are a few things I am doing to get back on track and bring peaceful, calm energy to my family.
While things are still uncertain and sometimes scary, I feel less anxious in general. I try to find acceptance in our current circumstances. Acceptance isn't a passive "I cannot do anything" mindset. It's more of a "what can I do now" frame of mind.
Our little routines and rituals give us purpose, hope and a little bit of normality. The shock of our world being different is starting to pass for some of us. We are getting used to this new normal.
